Researchers Prof Dr Haihui Wang
Brief description Industrial CO2 emission is considered the main contribution to the global warming. This project aims to develop a new class of oxygen transporting membrane (OTM) for CO2 capture and utilization. To achieve this objective, the formation process and the unique characteristic of the membrane, as well as the oxygen transportation mechanism through the membrane will be investigated via experimentally and theoretically. The outcomes from this project will advance the membrane technology in economically viable and efficient clean energy applications. The outcomes will also place Australia at the forefront of CO2 capture and utilization technologies.
