Brief description Australian history is dominated by stories of populations who have fled or migrated from war zones. Understanding the adjustment of such groups and the place of war memories and stories within these communities is crucial to understand their experiences and the challenges they confront in adapting to a new society. This study will assist in further enhancing our understanding of the ways in which many lives have been fragmented by this experience and by the emotional impact of migration. It will also make a contribution towards broadening our comprehension of the enduring legacies of war migration on the second generation.
