On-column injection with variable temperature ramping was used with a Zebron 1 column.  The format of the data is Excel spreadsheets.  GC chromatographs of the raw data in Varian data file format are available. The data set also includes adsorption measurements of the wood extractives onto pulp fibres and microcrystalline cellulose.  The data is in an Excel spreadsheet.  The data set also includes force curves and measurements of the interaction forces between wood extractives and model compounds secured to a Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) cantilever tip  with a variety of different surfaces ( glass, chrome and cellulose coated surface). AFM imaging  was performed with a MFP-3D AFM (Asylum Research, Santa Barbara, CA) using commercial silicon nitride cantilevers (Bruker, DNP probes). The AFM data was processed using  AFM software (Igor Pro, Wavemetrics).  The data set also includes frequency and dissipation measurements of experiments conducted using Quartz Crystal Microbalance with dissipation monitoring (QCM-D) in which wood extractives and model compounds are adsorbed onto gold, cellulose coated and chromium QCM sensors . Frequency and dissipation measurements of the 5th overtone were used for viscoelastic modelling to quantify the areal mass deposited on the sensor surface.
