Brief description The research informs the welfare reform and participation agenda of the Commonwealth Government. By focusing on the experiences of the day-to-day interactions between Job Network case managers and unemployed people,the research is able to distinguish between what is helpful and what is not, thereby contributing to a detailed appreciation of how those relationships should be undertaken. Further, the research develops understanding of how the transition from welfare to work is undertaken and what factors facilitate or hinder it.
