Full description This project was established to document the involvement of the Australian Science Archives Project (ASAP) and subsequent organisations with the records collected by Dr Jan Sapp of the History and Philosophy of Science Department at the University of Melbourne in preparation for research into the Briggs Affair, a case of scientific fraud (c.1983-c.1986). The case centred on the research of Professor Michael Harvey Briggs, who ultimately confessed to having fabricated research findings on an oral contraceptive pill.
